Educational Background
1998, BSc in Molecular Biology, Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canada
Research Interests
Structure-function relationships in proteins. This includes studying individual proteins as well as families of proteins, looking at properties of modification sites within proteins, functional sites of proteins, effects of specific mutations within proteins, and protein interaction networks. Some tools I use are MD simulations tools, active site profiling tools, as well as other tools currently being developed in our group to look at other aspects of proteins, such as cavity changes, and 3D functional motifs for both structures and models.
Personal Interests
Spending time with my family, travel with my family (especially involving Holland!), painting, drawing (see my website), running 5K's and 10K's, gardening, playing with my dogs and cats.
