Chroma Keying for Digital Video
Greenscreening is commonly used in video production for removing the background of objects and placing a new background behind them. Greenscreening is an example of chroma keying, a color-removal method based on identifying neighboring pixels of the same color within a certain tolerance. Chroma keying can be accomplished in a variety of ways: HLS-based methods, color difference keying, and the primate method, for example. This research will involve implementing different chroma keying methods and analyzing their effectiveness on different types of video frames.
