Assignment: View the videos on Cakewalk Music Creator http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/MusicCreator/videos.asp.

Also, do the first three tutorials in the Music Creator Help. You can see these by going to Music Creator Help\Contents and then choosing Tutorials. Music Creator is on the computers in the Digital Media Lab, Manchester 23.
